The purpose of the club is to provide further support once students have graduated from our program. We provide direct introductions to key industry players to help further facilitate the success of our graduates. Style Society is one of the many powerful and unique ways in which we help our students to achieve their dreams and goals as stylists.
Having a previous fashion education from another university didn’t compare to learning what we did in such a short time at the School of Style. It’s a different experience working with people currently in the industry vs. people who worked in the industry 25 years ago. School of Style’s main focus is getting you to work immediately. No other program has your ‘personal’ career development and interests at heart.
The classes provide incredible information. It would take you years of school to be able to extract the same amount of relevant information. SOS teaches you everything you need to know to be successful- with none of the fluff. Luke and Lauren keep it real and tell you exactly how it is and are also there to answer questions, support you and help you make connections in the industry.
After receiving my certificate, I’ve worked for celebrity stylists Erin Walsh, and Johnny Wujek. Now I work as a Full time E-commerce stylist from Dailylook.com and have worked for Agaci.com and GSlovesme.com running daily photo shoots with agency models. I am living my dream.
Since graduating SOS, I have worked with a TON of celebrities and high-level stylists. Shakira, Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Giselle Bundchen (3 times!), Alicia Keys, Drake, and Pharrell are just a few of the celebrities that I have worked with. My highest profile job so far was my recent work with Beyoncé on the Formation video, the Superbowl 50 Halftime show and the just released Lemonade video. I have no doubt that I would not be where I am today without School of Style.
Since graduating in 2011, Reichelle has worked for some of the world’s most powerful stylists including: Rob and Mariel, B. Akerlund, and Arianne Philips. Reichelle has even been able to take on a few jobs as a key stylist for red carpet events, fashion editorials, and press events.
The best thing about SOS is the opportunity it affords you once you graduate. I would have never made the connections I did or have the opportunities I’ve had if I had not taken the SOS course. In just a short time I’ve received an internship and a paid assistant stylist position through referrals from people I met on SOS jobs.
I’ve always loved fashion and couldn’t wait to become a Stylist. As a graduate you become eligible for all the internships that are available, and the staff really try to support you as much as possible! I cannot wait to get my career started as a fashion stylist…all thanks to School of Style.
School of Style was really helpful in learning the fundamentals of styling and key terms used in the industry. The way that Luke and Lauren present the content was really easy to understand and very applicable in the real world. I’m lucky enough to have had a thriving career as a NYC fashion stylist for many years since gradating.
I just recently graduated from School of Style’s online class, which has allowed me to be a full time college student and SOS student simultaneously. I’m blown away by the amount of job emails I receive every day through the Style Society alumni club. Taking this class gave me the confidence, knowledge and support that I needed to move up in my fashion styling career.
Without a doubt, the best thing about School of Style is the network and opportunities. SOS sends high-profile job opportunities in the fashion industry to grads frequently as well as invites to some really cool networking events.
