The purpose of the club is to provide further support once students have graduated from our program. We provide direct introductions to key industry players to help further facilitate the success of our graduates. Style Society is one of the many powerful and unique ways in which we help our students to achieve their dreams and goals as stylists.
When I moved to LA I knew I wanted to do styling full time but I didn’t have the connections to open those big doors for me. School of Style opened those doors, and also gave me the tips and tools I needed to compliment what experience I already had. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today in my styling career.
After receiving my certificate, I’ve worked for celebrity stylists Erin Walsh, and Johnny Wujek. Now I work as a Full time E-commerce stylist from Dailylook.com and have worked for Agaci.com and GSlovesme.com running daily photo shoots with agency models. I am living my dream.
SOS has helped my career by transforming me into a high fashion editorial monster in the best sense. After taking the classes I have become more confident and versatile in the industry. I’ve gained tons of connections and have already worked on some huge jobs.
Having a previous fashion education from another university didn’t compare to learning what we did in such a short time at the School of Style. It’s a different experience working with people currently in the industry vs. people who worked in the industry 25 years ago. School of Style’s main focus is getting you to work immediately. No other program has your ‘personal’ career development and interests at heart.
The classes provide incredible information. It would take you years of school to be able to extract the same amount of relevant information. SOS teaches you everything you need to know to be successful- with none of the fluff. Luke and Lauren keep it real and tell you exactly how it is and are also there to answer questions, support you and help you make connections in the industry.
Thanks to SOS and the Style Society grad program, I’ve worked a lot with stylist Marni Senofonte as well as Beyoncé on ‘Project Lemonade’, her Super Bowl performance, the ‘Formation’ video and the ‘Formation World Tour’. I’ve also worked on two seasons of ‘How to Get Away with Murder.’
I’ve always loved fashion and couldn’t wait to become a Stylist. As a graduate you become eligible for all the internships that are available, and the staff really try to support you as much as possible! I cannot wait to get my career started as a fashion stylist…all thanks to School of Style.
Being a lifestyle blogger, my career focus was a little different from many others in the course. I wanted knowledge to give me confidence to write about fashion. This intense 9-day course provided so much more than what I expected. Luke’s realist education about the world of styling provides a roadmap on how to be successful in this industry, without giving false expectations.
Without a doubt, the best thing about School of Style is the network and opportunities. SOS sends high-profile job opportunities in the fashion industry to grads frequently as well as invites to some really cool networking events.
School of Style was really helpful in learning the fundamentals of styling and key terms used in the industry. The way that Luke and Lauren present the content was really easy to understand and very applicable in the real world. I’m lucky enough to have had a thriving career as a NYC fashion stylist for many years since gradating.
