Law Roach is known for transforming celebrities into fashion icons.
Unlike many stylists who began their careers as interns or assistants, Law paved his own path, personifying what it means to be a trailblazer. Growing up in Southside Chicago, Law embarked on his career as a vintage fashion broker. He has worked with nearly every prominent actor, actress, pop-star, and athlete including Zendaya, Celine Dion, Anne Hathaway, Megan Thee Stallion, Tom Holland, and many more.

Week 1
Welcome to School of Style
In week 1 you will kick off your School of Style journey with a live orientation, where your mentor Image Architect, Law Roach will walk you through how the course will work and what you can expect to take away from it. You will then dive into your first two chapters of course content, featuring Law and his former First Assistant, John Martin.

Week 2
Image Architecture, Broken Down
In week 2, Law takes you through the different stages of Image Architecture, and breaks down his trademarked process. Learn how his approach to styling is derived from that of an architect, from surveying the land to selecting the finishes when creating a fashion icon.

Week 3
Pre-Production and The Basics
In week 3, Law and John take you through the hands-on foundational skills that are required to start your career as a stylist, from understanding what “pre-production” involves, to developing moodboards (and why they’re so important), how to pull samples and submit requests that will get you noticed, shipping basics, and how to build your perfect stylists kit.

Week 4
The Fitting
In week 4, we start off with the foundations of a fitting, including everything from technical basics like how to properly steam garments, check-in your samples, set up your racks for a seamless execution, to learning about Law’s psychology behind communicating with your client in fittings. We introduce you to expert celebrity tailor Matthew Reisman, who will take you through the process of alterations and arm you with the skills you need to know your way around a fitting as a stylist. Law and Matthew take you behind the scenes of a fitting.

Week 5
The Photoshoot
In week 5, the day of the photoshoot has arrived. You’ve pulled your looks and are ready to put your skills to work on set. Law teaches you about your role as a stylist in the photoshoot setting as well as how to interact with the photographer on the big day.

The Business of Styling
In week 6, it’s time to understand the business behind your career as a stylist. Andi Smiles, Financial Consultant from Collective, breaks down the importance of setting up your entity properly as an independent contractor, taxes, and bookkeeping basics.

Your Final Project
Week 7 is dedicated time for you to continue working on and complete your final project. While you are required to complete your final project in order to receive your Certification, only students who choose to participate will get the chance to share their projects amongst the group.

Your Certification & Class Closing
In the final week, Law sends you on his way in his closing chapter. The Image Architect himself shares how he developed his personal brand and some tips he hopes you will consider when defining who you are on social media. Finally, he discusses how to interview in order to land the job, and what he looks for in potential assistants, to help you as you begin to explore career opportunities.

How old I have to be to register for a School of Style course?
School of Style courses are available to students 18 years and older, in any stage of their education or career.
Do I have to to be accepted into School of Style?
Anyone 18 years and older can register for any of our courses during the open enrollment window. There is no application required.
How do I enroll for a School of Style course?
Registration for any of our courses takes place during the Open Enrollment window, and is on a first come first serve basis, with limited spots available. Make sure to join the waiting list to get notified of enrollment opening.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! At checkout students will have the option to pay via buy-now-pay later options such as Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay.
Are School of Style courses offered online or in-person?
We believe geography shouldn’t play a factor in your access to fashion and beauty industry education. We are a digital-first platform with the goal of reaching students anywhere, and everywhere. That said, as a member of our alumni community Style Society, you will gain access to in-person events.
Can international students enroll in a School of Style course?
While our first Fashion Stylist Certification course will be delivered in English, the course is accessible internationally.
Is School of Style an accredited university?
While School of Style is not an accredited university, students who graduate from our Certification Courses will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Is a School of Style Certification recognized by the industry?
Industry professionals have been recruiting students directly from School of Style since 2008, and graduates have gone on to work with some of the most powerful stylists and brands in the business.
Will I receive grades during the Fashion Stylist Certification Course?
While there are no grades at School of Style, students must complete all coursework in order to receive their Certificate of Completion.
Do I need to have prior experience in the fashion industry before registering for a course on School of Style?
Nope! That’s what we’re here for—to give you all of the tools you need to jumpstart your career and help prepare you to get your foot in the door. While we welcome anyone with any level of experience to benefit from our program, it is not a prerequisite.
Will I get to meet or work for Law Roach?
While there will be live guest lectures and interactive experiences with your course mentors, taking the Fashion Stylist Certification Course does not guarantee any personal interaction or job opportunities working with or for Law Roach.
How long has School of Style been around?
School of Style has been around since 2008. In 2023, Law Roach and Kent Belden, CEO and Founder of The Only Agency, acquired the business and revitalized the brand into what it is today, building upon its rich history.
Is School of Style only for stylists?
