Hire

Thank you for visiting the School of Style Job-Posting Page!

Here’s how our hire page works:

  • In an effort to assist our styling students to gain experience in the fashion and entertainment industries, and to help contribute to the success of our community of fellow stylists, we are happy to provide this service for the benefit of all parties involved.
  • Since 2008 we have taught over 3000 stylists the technical and professional skills required to achieve success as assistant and ultimately, key stylists.
  • With experience ranging from 1-10 years, our students become eligible for our Job Post Mailing List upon completion of our program. The request you are about to submit will then be sent via email to our graduates, containing the information you provide.
  • After receiving your job post email, students will reply to you directly, at the email address you provide. Students will respond to your request with whatever information you require, along with our standard internship/assisting questionnaire!
  • From this point on its up to you and your applicants to work out the details and to help contribute to each other’s success. Our only role in this transaction is to make the introduction- nothing more, nothing less.

Ok, that’s it! Time to get busy filling out your job post.

  • (Please provide as many details as possible regarding the key stylist, artist, magazine, client, etc.)

  • You're Almost Done!

In the interest of your confidentiality please answer the following questions carefully. We prefer to provide as much information about each job opportunity to our students as possible, as it tends to yield a higher rate of application. We are aware however that due to the nature of our industry, discretion is sometimes a priority.

  • By clicking "Submit," I hereby release School of Style LLC, it's agents and employees, from any and all liability arising from any transaction that I enter with any student I contact on this Posting Page. This includes any and all professional relationships formed between me, and any third party introduced to me by School of Style as a result of this job post. I understand that this free service is provided to me by School of Style for my benefit. As such, I understand that School of Style is in no way responsible for the personal or professional misconduct of its students whom I choose to hire or to enter into business with. I also understand that I determine the type of professional relationship, employee or independent contractor, that will be established between me and any student and that School of Style does not employ or have any control over the students. I acknowledge that School of Style has not made any representations about the quality of its students, other than they have attended a class(es) held by School of Style. I also acknowledge and understand that this service is provided to assist me and the students for the purpose of forming business relationships and nothing more.

I agree to fully indemnify, hold harmless, and defend School of Style and its directors, officers, members, employees, agents, stockholders, subsidiaries and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, settlements, judgments, costs and expenses including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees and costs, whether or not involving a third party claim, which arise out of or relate to any relationship established or contact made through this Posting Page.

STUDENT SUCCESS STORY

Brandy Joy Smith

School of Style was really helpful in learning the fundamentals of styling and key terms used in the industry. The way that Luke and Lauren present the content was really easy to understand and very applicable in the real world. I’m lucky enough to have had a thriving career as a NYC fashion stylist for many years since gradating.

I am always able to find work, thanks to the teaching tips and School of Style’s amazing references and job opportunities! I was the Key Stylist on a Music Video for Hi- Lo, which was a fantastic opportunity. I’ve worked with Americas Got Talent, Grace VanderWaal, Lisa Vanderpump, Bellamy Young, loads of private clients, music artists, and many actors and actresses. I’m also working on some big covers for 2017 editorially and I was recently on fox Vegas and KTLA as a fashion expert.

Having a previous fashion education from another university didn’t compare to learning what we did in such a short time at the School of Style. It’s a different experience working with people currently in the industry vs. people who worked in the industry 25 years ago. School of Style’s main focus is getting you to work immediately.  No other program has your ‘personal’ career development and interests at heart.

The classes provide incredible information.  It would take you years of school to be able to extract the same amount of relevant information.  SOS teaches you everything you need to know to be successful- with none of the fluff.  Luke and Lauren keep it real and tell you exactly how it is and are also there to answer questions, support you and help you make connections in the industry.

Thanks to SOS and the Style Society grad program, I’ve worked a lot with stylist Marni Senofonte as well as Beyoncé on ‘Project Lemonade’, her Super Bowl performance, the ‘Formation’ video and the ‘Formation World Tour’. I’ve also worked on two seasons of ‘How to Get Away with Murder.’
