Wondering what the phenomenal timeline of one of the most influential celebrity stylists ever, Rachel Zoe, looks like? First off Rachel dominated childhood by digging vintage Dior, Lanvin, and Chanel which makes total sense. After attending Millgurn High School, the same high school that Anne Hathaway eventually graduated from, she attended college and then ventured to NYC. While in NYC she took an editorial job and later upgraded to senior fashion editor at a well known mag that is now out of business. The domination only continued which can be evidenced by this timeline.
Rachel moved to Los Angeles in the successful merging of Hollywood with high fashion. Job well done.
Rachel collaborated with Judith Leiber to create a luxury handbag line. The success of the this line snowballed into the Rachel Zoe brand which included jewelry, handbags, scarves, sunglasses, hats and outerwear.
Worked on “The Simple Life” which helped catapult her TV career which included future roles on “America’s Next Top Model” and Project Runway”.
Here comes the book. Rachel wrote, “Style A to Zoe”, which wound up on the NY Times best seller list.
Reality show time. Rachel debuted the “The Rachel Zoe Project” which was shown on the Bravo network.
Year of the newsletter. “The Zoe Report” was created, a free newsletter featuring the worlds of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. This report attracted over 350,000 subscribers.
Building off the success of the previous newsletter, 2 more were created. “ZOE Beautiful” and “AccesZOEries” were created to focus on accessories. Meanwhile Rachel Zoe’s clothing line debuted and picked up at major department stores including but not limited to Nordstrom, Holt Renfrom, and Neiman Marcus.
She has worked with celebrity clients such Brenda Song, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lawrence, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Mario Orejel, Eva Mendez, Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz, Keira Knightley and many, many more..
